Vintage oriental hand carving of birds, flowers, large and small leaves. Birds are exotic looking and flowers look like roses and rosebuds. Some of the leaves look like large ferns and others are smaller style leaves. Piece looks like it was carved from one solid piece and appears to be in very nice condition although there are so many craggy and rough edges that it is actually hard to tell if any of them are damaged or if it is their natural shape. Although in photos it looks somewhat pale, color is actually a minty green color and is quite pretty. It is almost shaped like the Asian Tree of Life and the base of it looks almost like the trunk of a tree. Figure stands about 10 inches tall and approx. 6.5 inches across at its widest point. I do not know what type of stone this carving is from - could be soapstone, but you are buying as is as I really do not know what it is carved from. Also, there appears to be some type of waxy coating on the bottom but the rest of the carving is quite solid.
