VINTAGE Hummel Ashtray Figurine #166 \"Boy with Bird\"
TMK2 (Full Bee) Released 1947
This is a pre-owned vintage Hummel Ashtray Figurine in very good condition given it\'s age. It is model #166 and is called \"Boy with Bird\". It depicts a young boy lying on his stomach having a conversation with a little blue bird perched on top of a clump of grass. The young boys finger is protruded as if enticing the bird to hop on. The typical Hummel signature is present on the rim of the ashtray; on the bottom of the ashtray is stamped \"166\" indicating the model number and a full bee stamp within an the V; it was stamped with blue ink; there is an Arabic number or script present which either indicates the size or the paint/painters code, W.Germany is stamped in blue; the colors are all still vibrant; it appears there are 3 small chips, 2 are by the bird and 1 is under boys left leg. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs; there is crazing present on the inside of the ashtray and on the bottom where there is glaze; measures approximately 6\" wide and 3\" deep; weighs just under 11 oz; made in W. Germany.
