Stamped on the back: \" From The Original Engravings for Lewis Carroll\'s ALICE\'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND Done By John Tenniel, Hand Colored expressly for INVENTO N.Y. N.Y.\". Plate created circa 1960\'s. From what I have read, Invento was a small company that produced a few lines of china and sold them through specialty stores. The plate has a warm white shiny glaze. The hand painted accents on the Tenniel illustrations is minimal- this is primarily a black and white plate. The condition is good- no chips, cracks or crazing with minimal utensil marks but a small area of wear to the center of the decoration. I have other plate designs from the Alice In Wonderland dishes listed separately but I am happy to combine for shipping- just PLEASE wait for a combined invoice before paying.
