VINTAGE ITALIAN RINALDI FINE IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING CHICAGO MARSHALL FIELDS:

This absolutely beautiful impressionistic original oil painting on board by Italian artist M. Rinaldi is approximately 11 3/8 x 15 1/2 inches unframed. The framed piece measures approximately 15 1/2 x 19 1/4 inches. It is signed in the lower right M. Rinaldi. M. Rinaldi, born 1919, Naples, Italy, studied art at Accademe de Belle Arts in Rome under the tutelage of Odierna and also in Florence. This fine art was originally purchased at the sale gallery of Chicago\'s legendary Marshall Field & Company. This piece is in great condition. There is no craquelure (network of cracks due to shrinking of the paint or varnish). There are two minor scratches (as pictured on the last picture) to the upper left of the signature. There is minimal paint loss in a few areas but it is neglible and blends with the outstanding colors; it appears the artist may have intended to paint lighter in these areas than others. This is a very sturdy piece and the colors are outstanding!
