Thispiece is a unique, threaded, brown ceramic, Electric Lineinsulator with mushroomtype rim. This handsome piece measures approximately 8” in diameter atits widest x 5 1/2” H and weighs 6 lbs. 5 oz. The piece is composed ofheavy grade ceramic clay and has a pleasant weight that makes it a perfectdisplay piece. It was rescued from ademolition, has not been cleaned, and maintains surface grime and some smallpin size chips (see images). This pole top insulator is in good cosmeticcondition with minimal wear from use and age.We could not find a manufacturers mark on the insulator but it matches the Electric Line model. Thisceramic electrical insulator is an eye-catching piece of history that willenhance or start a great collection.
