These 3 Lefton figures were bought new by my Grandmother. My Mom wound up with them and kept them in her den until she passed away in 2005. They remained in the house with my Dad until his death a year ago. While I would like to keep just about everything in the house, that is impossible. These are in very good condition for the age. There are places on the Devils suit that the paint is peeling a bit. There are no chips or cracks and have never been repaired and come from a smoke free Environment. I hope that whoever buys these enjoys them for as many years as my family has.
They stand about 3 inches tall, 4 if you count the Pitch Fork.
About Lefton China: Foundedby Hungarian sportswear designer George Zoltan Lefton, Lefton China of Chicago,Illinois, imported porcelain decorative objects such as figurines and headvases, as well as kitchen wares such as cookie jars and salt-and-peppershakers, from postwar Japan. From 1945 through 1953, these pieces were stampedwith the words “Made in Occupied Japan.” Figures from 1946 to 1953 may alsobear a red sticker with either silver or gold trim on their bases, which reads“Lefton’s Exclusives Japan.” Objects made after 1953 added the words “Reg. The Lefton Company was purchased by OMT Enterprises in 2005and moved to California. Today\'s Lefton products include the ever popularLighthouse series and adorable Christopher girl birthday figurines.
