Fine detailed, ornate vintage Eastern Orthodox or Eastern Catholic smaller Crucifix pendant with a \"Triangle\" symbol of God the Father (\"All-Seeing Eye\"), and words of the \"Save and Protect\" prayer. Gently used, \"mint\" vintage condition; lightly worn out. Sterling silver (the \"925\" hallmark in the bottom part of the reverse) body, pectoral necklace crucifix. Origin likely mid- to late 20th century. Authentic vintage Orthodox crucifix pendant from Europe, 100% sound and wearable.The obverse bears an image of the Savior, Jesus Christ crucified onthe Latin-style cross.The space above Christ\'s head with large halo bears a small, symbolic \"INRI\" nameplate inscribed in Cyrillic letters.The top rounded end of the cross bears a symbolic image of God the Father depicted as a triangle emitting rays of light (the \"All-Seeing Eye\" of God). The cross is decorated withfloral vine-like ornaments symbolizing a \"life-giving\" nature of the Cross, and also the Christ\'s preaching according to the Saint John\'s Gospel: \"I am the vine; you are the branches\" (John 15:5).
The reverse of the crucifixbearsaninscription incorporated in the horizontal crossbar representing the traditional Orthodox prayer in Church Slavonic placed on the reverse of the \"body\" crosses meaning \"SAVE AND PROTECT\".
