Period Rim Lockand Handle

Thisis a salvaged traditionalthumb rim lock, brass knobs, metal back plate, and cast steel keep, which are in good working condition. This lock can be used on the left or right hand sides of a door.

I think the latch and thumb dead bolt arespring loaded.

The brass handles date from about the same period as the lock, with each knob fitting onto the ends of the spindle, and are secured with grub screws. The knobs are in good condition.There is a round pressed brass back plate.

The rim lock measures approximately125 mm (4 1/2“) wide,90 mm (3 1/2“) high, and from the centre of the spindle handle position to the outside of the lock is82mm (3 1/4“).

This rim lock, handle and keep, can complement both traditional and modern reproduction doors.
