This is a listingfor 2fabulous, mid century sports trophies; one a tennis trophy, with afluted epergne, with doric acanthus, atop a black wood grained pedestal and engraved brass plaque depicting "Symbolic of a great sportsman and tennisprofessional" with what was crossed racquets, though one has gone missing. The 2nd double handle, urn style classic silver plated trophy is still blank - It is tarnished and the mahogany colored wooden base is quite marred. Both are in equally excellent structural condition, though both are worn, with the metals mottled anddull. Still, they are impressive in size and amusing! The taller trophy is a whopping 17.25" tall on a beveled, step down 6.25" base. The smaller silver plated William Rogers & Sons is about 5-5/8" handle to handle and a 4.25" cylindricaldiameter base.
