VINTAGE VICTORIAN HUGE 8.5CM CAIRNGORM SCOTTISH SILVER PLATED BROOCH :

Vintage Victorian silver plated cairngorm brooch/plaid pin, a huge brooch measuring 3.2\" across (8.5cm), the centre stone measures 2.5cm across and is claw set, the outer silver plated is chased with thistles, there is a simple c clasp, the pin is a little loose but fastens securely, there is plate wear to the reverse but this appears to be to a second silver plated coating and the under metal is also silver coloured, to the front there are small patches or wear but this only noticeable close up, the brooch is dome shaped, the centre stone is faceted and has surface scuffing to the very top edges of the stone, a really unusual brooch due to the size and is in good Antique condition.
