Vintage Eagle Kachina Dancer Bolo Tie

This Vintage Eagle Kachina Dancer Bolo Tie by William Zunie (1938-1983) is a signature style for him. The hand cut tiles include Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, Spiny Oyster, Abalone & Jet, all set into Sterling. It\'s 3\" by 2-1/2\" & comes on a braided, black leather cord. Dressed with Silver tips, it\'s 45\" long. Hallmarked, circa 1975. We cleaned up the metal & replaced the cord. This Vintage Eagle Kachina Dancer Bolo Tie is a museum quality collectible & it\'s one of a kind!

William started making jewelry in the 1960\'s. His work is featured in several high end galleries and many collections. He is referenced in Wright\'s \"Hallmarks of the Southwest\", Schaaf\'s, \"American Indian Jewelry I\", Bassman\'s \"Zuni Jewelry\", Bell\'s \"Zuni The Art & the People\" Volume 1, Hougart\'s \"The Little Book of Southwestern Silver\" & Sei\'s \"Kachinas and Ceremonial Dancers In Zuni Jewelry\".

Taken in trade from the previous owners\' son, his father collected & traded Native American jewelry & pottery in Missouri from the 1940\'s to the late 1970\'s.
