VTG 1920s Pharoah Scarab Child\'s Ring from Egypt Gold Swivel Stark Collection Search

In 1927, my father traveled to the Middle East with his parents, H. J. Lutcher and Nita Stark and his grandparents William and Miriam Stark. One of the places that they visited was Luxor Egypt. I\'ve posted 3 pictures from their trip. My dad is riding on the camel. The trip pictures can be seen by scrolling the arrows by the pictures at the top. He was given this ring by Muhammed Abubi (see picture for spelling if I made a mistake) for his fourth birthday. It is a child\'s ring. The listing includes the box that my dad kept the ring in and a copy of the note in the picture. This ring was part of the Stark Family\'s Egyptian collection that was sold to the San Antonio Museum of Art in 1986 which was authorized by Nelda Stark. The ring was returned to my father after he learned of the sale.

I tried to do some research on the ring and am including the information that I was able to find. Please read it carefully and ask any questions that you may have.

This is an Egyptian Scarab child\'s ring with cartouched scarab set in a golden swivel. The ring is stirrup-shaped with a shaped hoop with flattened pierced ends and the scarab attached in such a way that it can revolve when not worn on a finger, with the underside turned up when used as a seal. The beetle side is up when worn as an ornament.

Egypt is the country of origin. The style is Neo-Egyptian. A product of the third Neo-Egyptian revival:

The first Revival...Napoleans journey to Egypt was between 1805 and 1810.

The Second Revival was the opening of the Suez Canal, 1870.

The Third Revival was initiated by the discovery of King Tut-Ankh Amun\'s tomb, circa 1922.

Period is the 1920s

I have done the best that I can to describe the ring but would certainly appreciate any helpful information that any er may be able to provide for me.

I normally use Priority Mail for USA shipping and it includes delivery confirmation. International Shipping is done by Priority International Mail due to the tracking ability with this service. I ship several times a week, normally within 24-48 hours of receipt of payment. Most items are sent in Priority Mail Tyvek envelopes. I will be happy to mail items in a box if you prefer, but this may increase your shipping cost. All breakable items are bubble-wrapped and boxed well. I do offer combined shipping discounts to save you some money, so if you are still offerding on other items after purchasing something, please send me a quick email to let me know that you are still shopping. I\'ll hold the invoice until you have finished. International Buyers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determined what these additional costs will be prior to offerding or buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering company or when you pick the item up. Do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. I do my best to describe any flaws or damage to items that I list and take many pictures. If I miss something, or have made a mistake in my listing, I will offer a refund. Please contact me and give me a chance to make things right before leaving negative response or leaving less than 5 stars on the detailed seller rating. Thank you very much.
My business is very important to me and I work hard to offer my customers a 5 Star Service. I strive to make your transaction as pleasant and smooth as possible. If you are not satisfied, please let me know so that I can try to make it better. Communication is the key to a successful business with happy, satisfied customers. Please contact me through email as that is the best way to get in touch with me. I check my several times each day. I have only had to file a few non-paying buyer reports and really don\'t like to do that. When an item sells, the seller is charged a selling fee and the only way to get it back if an item is not paid for is to file the report. I also can\'t re-list something if the transaction has not been closed. I hope that you understand. I am easy to get along with and try very hard to treat others as I would like to be treated but know that sometimes problems arise. All you have to do is let me know. My customers are very important to me and your satisfaction is important. My business is my job and I work hard to make it successful. Thank you very much. I appreciate your business.
Please send any communication that you have through my messages. As a seller, I have been advised to keep messages concerning items on this site. This not only protects me as a seller but you as the buyer. Thank you very much.

I recently sold my house and the movers are here packing it up for the move to North Carolina. Please do not purchase this if you are in a hurry to receive it. I will be happy to ship it to you when I get to North Carolina and can get it off of the moving truck. Thank you for understanding.
