I am located in the suburban city of New Rochelle in Lower Westchester County, just about 35 minutes North of Manhattan. You can travel by any number of major highways from the Boroughs of NYC, upstate NY and the nearby states of Connecticut and New Jersey and beyond if you wish. If you are too far away and have a relative or friend in the area, they can pick up the lamp and hold tit for you until you meet for socializing or business.
IMPORTANT! I do not accept PayPal payments for picked up items. Please plan to bring cash or we can make other mutually agreed upon arrangements.
THIS sale FEATURES A VERY LARGE PIECE OF ART POTTERY CREATED AROUND 1950s-1960 ON THE BROR HAIL KIBBUTZ IN ISRAEL.
FROM THE INTERNET: THIS COMMUNITY WAS ESTABLISHED RIGHT AFTER ISRAEL BECAME A STATE IN 1948. IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTH OF THE NEGEV ABOUT 50 MINUTES FROM TEL-AVIV. ALTHOUGH FOUNDED BY JEWISH IMMIGRANTS FROM EGYPT, IT WAS MAINLY SETTLED BY BRAZILIAN EMIGRANTS. THEY CREATED AN ART POTTERY STUDIO AND PRODUCED VERY FINE WARES.
THE EXTERIOR SURFACE IS PARTIALLY MATTE AND PARTIALLY SEMI-MATTE. THE INTERIOR IS GLAZED WTH A SHINY SURFACE. I ROTATED THE VASE A FEW TIME SO YOU ARE VIEWING IT FROM ALL SIDES. THIS PIECE FEELS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS! THE INTERESTING COLORS AND BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVED PATTERNS ARE VERY TYPICAL OF THE FINE WORK DONE BY THESE VERY TALENTED ARTISANS. THEIR POTTERY IS VERY SOUGHT AFTER AND CHERISHED. THE PARTIAL LABEL ON THE BOTTOM INDICATES THE KIBBUTZ AND ISRAEL. IN MY OPINION, THIS GORGEOUS PIECE IS A VERY SPECIAL AND WILL BE A FINE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION OF ISRAELI ART POTTERY..........A GREAT PIECE FOR YOUR HOME OR OFFICE. THANKS FOR VIEWING MY LISTING AND GOOD LUCK IF YOU DECIDE TO offer!
❚❚❚ FINE ISRAELI EXPORT ❚❚❚
Approximately 13 1/4" tall, 11" at the widest point, about 7 1/2" across the base rings and 2 7/8" across the top. The ample weight is just under 5 pounds 15 oz.
The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks or hairlines. All I see to describe is a very small faint mark and bit of soil on the three part unglazed base ring. The maker's mark is a bit rubbed. Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of handling. I never list items with serious damage or flaws. I often heighten the contrast in my pictures to bring out all the details. The color you see may be slightly brighter or different than it actually is. Please inquire if you are concerned.
**********Please be sure you can accept the described conditions before you place your offer. By offerding you are stating that you have viewed the photos carefully, thoroughly read my condition paragraph and understand the description. Please ask questions so there will not be any surprises.
I will accept a return of this Israeli Art Pottery and will certainly refund your money if there was gross negligence in my descriptions or photos. I regard buyers regret to be unacceptable. Contact must be made within 72 hrs of the day your item arrives. The item must be perfectly packed [as I prepared it] and returned in the same condition as I sent it. Insured return shipping will be paid for by the buyer. Please note that if your item arrives broken due to mishandling by the postal workers the included shipping insurance will reimburse you for your purchase. Be sure to save the carton and all the packing materials. Please note that returns cannot be accepted from non-domestic buyers due to customs fees.
Domestic buyers, please let me know if you do not have a PayPal account and wish to use another form of payment.
Please note that although I pack extremely well, I do not recommend glass or other fragile items to be mailed via USPS Standard Post unless the buyer understands the risk for damage while in transit and the possibility of needing to make an insurance claim. Please bear in mind that items shipped Standard Post frequently travel with heavy and bulky items like furniture and appliances. The safest service for fragile collectibles is Priority. It does cost more, particularly for a distant destination but your item will be handled quickly and much more carefully. The difference in cost for a nearby destination will be far less, in some instances just pennies. Considering the high cost of shipping, I always offer my buyers the choice. Since this will be a large heavy package I will expect a distant buyer to choose Economy Shipping.
Domestic buyers, to hasten the receipt of your invoice please indicate your choice of shipping [Standard Post or Priority] as soon as you have won this item so I can pack and invoice accordingly. If the difference is not considerable I would prefer to ship Priority...........Thanks.
I am estimating a 10 pound oversize package. A smaller carton will not allow me to adequately protect the pottery. The USPS may add a dimensional/weight surcharge. Please consider the shipping cost before offerding. This item will be shipped insured with delivery confirmation for a domestic sale. The estimated insurance will be based on the ***final selling price*** and will be adjusted accordingly if needed. If your country is eligible, this item can be mailed to a non-domestic destination with the Global Shipping Program. Otherwise, international shipping will be USPS Priority which includes indemnity based on weight. If it is not enough coverage I will add more. There is no handling fee for a domestic shipment. There is a handling fee for a non-domestic shipment. Please Wait for my invoice before sending a payment. Without a resale number, sales tax will be added to purchases in NYS/CT. A confirmed address is required. Payment received within 7 days of the sale's end date will be appreciated.
Please Understand that when I use the Shipping Calculator it is for your Convenience so you can Approximate how much you will be adding to your offer. It is just an Estimate determined by weighing a Partially Packed item. It makes no sense for me to complete a box not knowing if the item will actually be sold. Most of the time the Amount is Correct but occasionally, after securely packing the item, the weight brings the shipping charge to the Next Pound Cut-Off Point. Sometimes the box weighs less than anticipated! In order to prevent the necessity of returning an Incorrect Paypal Payment it is important to Wait for my Contact Letter and Invoice.
Non-domestic buyers, please do not request a falsified customs slip. Items will be identified as merchandise with a value reflecting the winning offer price. Please be aware that you are fully responsible for any and all import duties, tariffs and taxes imposed by your country. Import duties, taxes and fees are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding/buying.
Please note: Paypal's policy. If sellers have to return an incorrect payment we are charged $.30. Please wait for me to pack your item(s) and send my invoice with a pay link.
Continually rising postal rates have created a difficult situation for sellers. I have no control over the price of shipping. If your zip code is far from my location please check the cost before offerding. Please note that I ship very promptly but sometimes the mail service is not as fast as anticipated. If you are the winner please take this into consideration when using the 5 star rating system.
ers, please read: I am always ready and able to provide attentive communication in order to insure a smooth and pleasant transaction. I work very hard to maintain 100% response and perfect DSR ratings.
response is a key indicator of a buyer's or seller's reputation and is very important to exchange. Positive response tells me that your shipment arrived safely and that you are a happy buyer. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with your shipment please notify me immediately and give me the opportunity to resolve any issues you may have. As always, thanking you kindly for your business.
IMPORTANT! If you are the winner of my sale(s) or have asked a question and I have not contacted you please note that my computer is on the Cable System Internet which goes down occasionally, especially during icy weather or thunder storms. Sometimes we totally lose electricity which can take the technicians many hours to repair. In addition, my mac could get a..........headache and need to go to the apple hospital! I do not have any additional internet connecting devices. Please be patient! If this happens I will be back online ASAP.
