I am located in the suburban city of New Rochelle in Lower Westchester County, just about 35 minutes North of Manhattan. You can travel by any number of major highways from the Boroughs of NYC, upstate NY and the nearby states of Connecticut and New Jersey and beyond if you wish. If you are too far away and have a relative or friend in the area, they can pick up the lamp and hold tit for you until you meet for socializing or business.

THIS sale FEATURES A VERY LARGE PIECE OF ART POTTERY CREATED AROUND 1950s-1960 ON THE BROR HAIL KIBBUTZ IN ISRAEL.

FROM THE INTERNET: THIS COMMUNITY WAS ESTABLISHED RIGHT AFTER ISRAEL BECAME A STATE IN 1948. IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTH OF THE NEGEV ABOUT 50 MINUTES FROM TEL-AVIV. ALTHOUGH FOUNDED BY JEWISH IMMIGRANTS FROM EGYPT, IT WAS MAINLY SETTLED BY BRAZILIAN EMIGRANTS. THEY CREATED AN ART POTTERY STUDIO AND PRODUCED VERY FINE WARES.

THE EXTERIOR SURFACE IS PARTIALLY MATTE AND PARTIALLY SEMI-MATTE. THE INTERIOR IS GLAZED WTH A SHINY SURFACE. I ROTATED THE VASE A FEW TIME SO YOU ARE VIEWING IT FROM ALL SIDES. THIS PIECE FEELS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS! THE INTERESTING COLORS AND BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVED PATTERNS ARE VERY TYPICAL OF THE FINE WORK DONE BY THESE VERY TALENTED ARTISANS. THEIR POTTERY IS VERY SOUGHT AFTER AND CHERISHED. THE PARTIAL LABEL ON THE BOTTOM INDICATES THE KIBBUTZ AND ISRAEL. THE MEASUREMENTS:

Approximately 13 1/4\" tall, 11\" at the widest point, about 7 1/2\" across the base rings and 2 7/8\" across the top. The ample weight is just under 5 pounds 15 oz.

THE CONDITION:

The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks or hairlines. All I see to describe is a very small faint mark and bit of soil on the three part unglazed base ring. The maker\'s mark is a bit rubbed. Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of handling. I never list items with serious damage or flaws. I often heighten the contrast in my pictures to bring out all the details. The color you see may be slightly brighter or different than it actually is. Please inquire if you are concerned.

Insured return shipping will be paid for by the buyer. It does cost more, particularly for a distant destination but your item will be handled quickly and much more carefully. The difference in cost for a nearby destination will be far less, in some instances just pennies. Considering the high cost of shipping, I always offer my buyers the choice. Since this will be a large heavy package I will expect a distant buyer to choose Economy Shipping.
