VINTAGE ORIGINAL COBALT BLUE GLASS DC-3 AIRPLANE CHROME ART DECO STREAMLINE MACHINE AGE FIGURAL TABLE LAMP IN SUPERBCONDITION circa 1930\'s
DESIGN:This stunning and impressiveChrome & Glass Art Deco Airplane table/desk lamp is stylishly designed with unique materials and detailing. The primary fuselage of the body is thick slag casted Cobalt glass which retains its molded patent # and original mercury silver paint detailing. The remainder of the airplane and support stand is all polished Chrome steel.
CONDITION:Overall the lamp is in outstanding condition, there arevery faint signs of use and age but with no issueswhatsoever. The lamp parts are all Chrome plated which shows hardly any surface wear with just some light tarnish to remote/underside areas. The lamp retains an original spin switch fixed to the tail assembly which is electrically sound and functions safely, the power cord appears to be originalwhich is completely functional and safe. The unique thick glass fuselage structured shade is super clean with no chips or cracks, just some wear to the silvered detailing. The entire glass piece fits securely within a metal bracket in between the wings which keeps it from moving or coming off, the photos show it resting on that bracket and it will be shipped wrapped separately to avoid any mishap in shipping. I have had a few of these before and seen many and quite honestly this is probably the finest examples of one of these DC-3 lamps you could ever come across...it just doesn\'t get any better!
DIMENSIONS:This stylishly designed Art Deco DC-3 lamp measures approx. 12\" long from the tail to the top of the nosel and a general wingspan of 13.5\" at its widest.The glass shade measures about 8\" high...bulb will be included.

ADDED INFO: in reply to a multitude of questions this lamp was acquired directly from its original owner/family where it had been in the same home for over 70 years, it is original and intact in that state. It has only been wiped down to remove dust and no other cleaning or polishing as been done. There are no breaks, cracks, repairs or apparent flaws and any marks that appear in the pics are from normal surface residue or aging.
