Up for sale is this Vintage Catherine of Aragon ~ Royal Doulton Miniature (2.5\") Character Toby Jug (D6658). Piece was designed by Alan Maslankowski in 1975 and manufactured and hand painted in the RD factory in England. It has a tower for a handle. Daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain,Catherine (1485-1536) was married to Arthur, the Prince of Wales by a political arrangement. When Arthur died, shortly after their wedding she married King Henry VIII to continue the arrangement. This marriage lasted 24 years until he became restless and sought out Anne Boleyn.
Item is Pre-owned, in mint like condition, with no chips, cracks, etc. Approximately 2 1/2\" tall with a base of 2 1/2 x 1 1/8\". Marked on the bottom with, \'Catherine of Aragon, D6658, Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd, 1975\'.
