keystone_antiques Store From my own personal collection is an outstanding Antique Japanese Lacquer Jewelry Music Box in incredible vintage condition with so much to love about it:There is a hand-painted scene on top of a gorgeous tan & brown Vintage Japanese Lacquer Jewelry Music Box, & when you open the lid, you experience an incredible scene inside, of 2 matching red ballerinas twirling around & circling around a disc on which are red & green bright flashing & blinking lights, while the fantastic, light-hearted music plays \"Sukiyaki\", which literally means \"taste of honey\", & was a USA hit popular tune in 1963, by Kyu Sakimoto. What a tremendous site to see & hear each time you use your jewelry--or anytime you want to watch this fantastic show!This fabulous box measures 12\"L x 5 1/2\"W x 4\" tall, so it is large enough to hold a lot of jewelry for storage. Hidden in the side panel next to the ballerinas is the compartment that holds the 2 Size \"D\" batteries that power the lights; the batteries are included in the purchase, but I will pack them separately during shipping, so they don\'t move around & cause damage.There are so few flaws to this music box--there is one spot on the lining, & the key to lock the box is missing--both these things are minor & easily overlooked in such an unusual, one-of-a-kind antique. The other unusual feature to this is that, for some odd reason, the lights blink with different timing, but always the same; that is, the red lights flash & blink 3 times for every time the green lights blink--an odd little quirk, but it has always done this all the years I\'ve had it--it\'s just one of the little things that one accepts as part of the \"charm\" of an antique treasure as this!
