\"Saint Nicholas\" - a 44-gun frigate Russian Black Sea Fleet.The frigate was laid on the stocks January 6, 1790 and launched on 25 August of the same year. Construction led the ship\'s apprentice Alexander Petrovich Sokolov.In August 1791 participated in the Battle Kaliakria under Captain Lviv second rank in the squadron Ushakov. For bravery in the battle,commander of the frigate \"St. Nicholas\" was awarded a gold sword.In the years 1790-1800 frigate squadron participated in the campaigns of Admiral Ushakov in the Mediterranean.
