TheVera Luna \"Eagle Dancer\" Bolo

This wonderfulBolo Tiewas made by the famous and talented Zuni artist Vera Luna. She started producing jewelry in the 1970\'s and was active until about the time of her death in 1982. She first used a stamp in 1975. She is perhapsmost famous for her\"Spirit Dancer\" design in herjewelry. As anotedZuni artist, her work is featured in several high end galleries, collections, andinthe majority of Native Jewelry catalogs and reference books. This is stamped with the correct hallmark \"V. LUNA\". It is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver and authentic. Her work is found in countless collector publications including the new Toshio Sei Book. There are no obvious breaks. A very close inspection may reveal that there is a hairline crack in the Turquoise just below the eagle\'s chin or beak. See if you can find it...I just did. There are nonoticeable scratches, etc. in the pendant or tips. The braided black leather bolo cord is invery goodcondition and shows no signs of wear. The back of the pendant and the Bolo Tips have a very dark patina...The Bennettstyle clasp is fine. I believe that you will be pleased!

The workmanship is exceptional and fine. It features a raised and flushchannel inlay pattern ofseveral stones including Turquoise, Jet, Abalone Shell, Mother of Pearl, and a brown Shell, and Coral. TheBolo is built up on a Sterling Silverbase that has numerous pieces of these stones set tightlyinto the intricateSterling Silver frame of the Dancer\'s body. The bezel work is impressive. I love the various levels of inlay and how it gives the dancer a sense of movement, visual depth, and contrast! This is a highly collectible and iconicVera Lunamuseum quality piece.

This amazing Bolo Tie isfull of character and will be commented onby many people. When you take a look at the pictures, please inspect the bolo pendant carefully for the fine detail in both design and execution. Your friendsmay compliment you and your taste in Zuni Jewelry.

Thanks!
