VERY NICE RUSSIAN DRAGOON SWORD PATTERN 1881:

This is a very nice example of a Russian Dragoon Shashka Saber Sword P 1881. It is mounted with a large, slightly curved blade that measures 30 inches in length. The blade remains in good condition with only some minor surface oxidation blemishes on one side and is dated \"1888\" on the ricasso. The stirrup guard is brass and frames a healthy carved wooden hilt. The brass remains in uncleaned, untouched condition and has now developed a deep, rich aged patina and is beautifully regimentally marked. The wooden scabbard is brass fitted and although shows wear does remain in very good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 36 inches in length.
