This sale is for a very pretty and very unique Highly Carved Oak Coal Hod from England. It\'s very well made and has some very pretty carving on the top & front. It could double very easily for a stool or seat. It has from what I would call from an Arts & Craft to Gothic look about it. Again it is Very Well Made and quite heavy for it\'s size. It has a dark oak patina to it. It could also double as a \"tinder or kindling\" box to store your fat-wood or pine in, It still has it\'s liner and believe it or not, there are no holes in the liner,

Overall it\'s about 14 1/2\" wide and about 15 1/2\" deep at it\'s base, 14\" X 14 1/4\" on the lid and about 15 1/2\" tall overall. The liner is about 10 1/2\" X 11\" and about 11 1/4\" deep.

It has a Medium Dark to Dark Oak patina to it and is a little darker in real life than what the pictures show. It has some small blemishes to the finish on the sides and some scratches and dings.The overall finish is good, not great,not excellent or mint but Good. There is no rot or worm damage to any of the oak. For it\'s overall age and travels it\'s in good condition and ready to set out and use and enjoy.
