Hi, Sellingthis absolutely stunning and extremely rare Limoges enamel byBaptiste Nouailher of a religious subject i believe St Francis. The imagery is amazing with the clouds opening and sun shining from Jesus on the cross with wings onto the monk St. Francis who has the stigmata. His bible is leaning on a skull with a cross next to it and another monk in the background. Very few of these have survived to this day and due to thier fragility most survivors are badly damaged. This piece is actually Very good with most of the enamel still present and you can see everything of note. Please look at all the pictures for damages to judge yourself the condition. It is signed on the back Limoges andBaptiste Nouailher, it measures 17cms in height and 15.5cms in width and marked as shown.This is an absolutemust for anycollection anddisplays really really well.
