Ramsgate Borough Police:- Records show that on the 29th Of September 1856 the force had a strength of 9 officers, the force were known as Ramsgate “Town” until 1894, then “Borough”. On the 1st of April 1943 they merged into the Kent County Police. After 1st April 1974 became part of the new Kent Police Area.

A very rare antique obsolete Ramsgate Police Whistle made at 13 Barr Street, Birmingham, the address Hudson’s manufactured whistles between 1888 to 1909. The whistle is made from nickel silver offered in very good condition for its age, fully working. A nice Obsolete whistle for one to add to a collection.
