This isTRULY aVERY RARE and UNIQUE antique apparatus designed for administering electrical shocks for ‘medicalpurposes’ of all kinds. It was made by the Apollo Company during the late 1800\'s to the early 1900\'s. From what we could research on this, it was said that inthe 1930\'s the AMA (American Medical Association) put a blunt stop to quacks and their devices.

This measures approx 9\'\' wide x 8\'\' tall This is made with quality made components,including a solid oak case, chrome accessories/attachments, and a sophisticatedelectrical circuit used to produce electric shocks whichuses 2 dry-cellbatteries to provide power to the adjustable coil .As can be seen in the pictures, this one still has the original instructions and still in nice condition.

As stated above, the batteries were used to power the apparatuswhich was a well-appreciated feature in the late 1800\'s and early 1900’s since electric outletsweren’t yet incorporated into many resident\'s homes or hotels thus thetraveling doctor could rely on battery power for hisnext shock therapy ...Thebatteries have long since been removed from thismany of them leaked causing a lot of internal/external damage to the structureand components of them.
