VERY RARE MUSEUM QUALITY ANTIQUE 12th CENTURY PERSIAN KHORASAN ISLAMIC PLATE:

For sale is this extremely rare, museum quality antique 12th century Persian Khorasan dish. The plate has been chased in the centre with a beautiful geometric motif. This has been framed with a beautiful border of Kufic calligraphy going all the way around the plates. There are beautiful little birds in between the band of calligraphy.

All the work would have of course been completed by hand.

This item is genuine and guaranteed to be Persian and dating to 12th Century.

The quality is beautiful, and this is a must have item for any collector of high quality Islamic antiques andantiquities.

Size

The diameter of the plate is 20.5cm= 8.1 inches.

The plate is in fairly good condition for its age. There is a chip to the rim and some wear but the plate is about between 800 - 900 years old and would have been found underground, so this is natural and expected.
