POOLE BLUE DOLPHIN

CERAMIC STORE WINDOW SIGN

Offered here is thisvintage and very rare piece of Poole pottery. It is a store display sign. It incorporates perhaps the most well known piece that Poole produced, the blue dolphin. As can be seen, the Poole name is prominently displayed on both sides There are a few other differences from the usual dolphin and the one here. There are no waves that the dolphin is usually riding. The base is curved, opposed to straight, so that it could be convex to the outside of the window and concave inside the store. The tail is also different on this dolphin. The piece is in perfect condition as seen with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. It measures 6.5\" X4.5\" X2.75\". I have seenceramic store signs sell all over theboard, some for $20, others for over $1000. I have never seen anotherone of theseever before.
