This is a heavy piece, 401 grams, sterling silver. Width is 8\". An historic piece from a very small town......Hallmarked for 1899.Buyer pays as close to actual shipping costs (don\'t forget that in some cases shipping materials might cost me $$$$ as well) as I can get. The shipping cost quote is almost always wrong...I can\'t possibly know in advance where things will go or what it costs to get there. Neither can they.Ships from Canada, if you are overcharged on the shipping fees by more than $2, I\'ll refund the overpayment.I may want special shipping and handling...tracking/signature etc......to protect myself.....there is no Sellers Protection plan with .I\'ll no longer ship to the USSR or it\'s satellites...3 scams per year is my limit!
I\'m also going to start listing the scammers I get through selling on . Sellers can no longer warn each other by submitting NEGATIVE response on problem buyers.So, here\'s my first of the year.tariq_moh - this guy lives in the United Arab Emirates and after purchasing the item he told me he wanted it sent by surface mail...I in turn told him arrival could take (literally) months,
he was fine with that.
It was shipped in the first week of December, busiest shipping time of the year, and by January 2nd he had open a \'Not Received\' case.
Of course claimed since I hadn\'t put tracking on the package (not possible on surface shipping) I had to pay up.....by January 8th they had taken my money.
Now, since the sale was put through as a case....I can\'t leave response at all, even though it\'s not possible any more to give a negative to a buyer anyway.
And now the second of the year - cover111at sina.cn - buyer name - cover11111 This cover was sent in a hard photo mailer - December 19th /17 and he made a claim February 14/18
I tape over the address on everything, the writing can\'t be smeared or torn away. It was likely there in under 10 days......took him 2 months to say it was lost? And that\'s $59 I\'ll never see again.......This is the third thing \'lost\' in China in the last year.....I\'m done. NO MORE shipping there.
SO, Beware Scammers......one way or another, I\'ll get your name out there, through and facebook.
