Sarcophagus in shape, the hinged cover centred by a radially-inlaid panel of alternating strips of horn and bone, with square finial, enclosing an interior of one compartment and a secret compartment in the inside of the lid, raised on four turned feet.The box is in good condition with a few bumps and bruises: the white bone piece of radial top that is directly straight down has a chip off it towards its widest part. The bottom wood is split in two places but is very sturdy this splitting shows on the inside of the box as well.There is no key for the lock.Write with any questions.9 3/4\" wide 6 1/2\" tall 7\" deep
