This is a very nice original Victorian ring from about 1900. There are no marks, but I carefully acid-tested, and it is at least 10K. The navette-shaped red stone is a garnet, and the tiny stones at each end are pearls. All the stones appear to be original.

The metal is rose gold. All gold contains a small amount of copper. The greater amount of copper is contained in the alloy, the pinker the color. This metal is medium pink. There are designs on each shoulder.

The shank is too sturdy to be original, in my opinion. The ring was probably reshanked at sometime within the past 50 years or so.

Because the shank is plain, this ring could be sized up or down by a competent goldsmith.

SIZE: This ring measures a 5 1/2 on my ring mandrel. The top is 7/16" wide. The weight is 2.5 grams.
