We are pleased to offer this rare hand blown Victorian milk glassEaster egg manufactured circa 1890s-early 1900s. Eggs such as this were produced by several companies including National Glass, Dithridge, Gillinder, and Eagle. Similar eggs are pictured on page 177 of Newbound\'s \"Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Milk Glass\" and also on page 116 of \"The Milk Glass Book\" reference guide by James Slater and Frank Chiarenza.

This hand paintedwhite opal egg features an embossed full figureyellow baby chickon a grassy mound with gilded \"Easter\" written above it. It was made with a flat bottom so it can stand alone. It measures 3-3/4\" long. It has a rough pontil mark on one end. Itis in excellent condition for its age - just amazing that it has survived this long.
