Here we have an original Victorian miniature oil lamp night-light made by the Meissen Oven & Porcelain Manufactry (formerly Carl Teichert), two marks on base, an underglaze printed mark (used from December 1882-December 1929) and an impressed mark \'MEISSEN\'.The fount is, I believe, porcelain and decorated with hand painted flowers and foliage, with the back side left plain, there is a light buff colour to the fount which terminates just above the foot rim, which is showing the white of the porcelain.The burner is the original \'Spar Brenner\' which roughly translates as \'Sparing Burner\' \'Sparing\' as in it uses fuel sparingly and can run all through the night (and possibly longer on a full fount).The chimney is 100% correct for this burner and arrived with it, it is stamped \'Young\'s Fireproof\'.

Dimensions; around 9 3/4\" tall, 4\" across fount.

Condition; there is a small, shallow flake to the porcelain on the base rim, it eats a little into the impressed mark (at first I thought the impressed mark was a shallow flake underneath casued by the main flake but was surprised to see it sas \'MEISSEN\' when I got a good light on it), luckily it is out of sight, situated at the base of the plain side of the lamp, so not too obtrusive, expect other tiny marks and scuffs commensurate with age but in overall good condition otherwise, please see images.
