Victorian Renaissance 1870\'s Antique Jenny Lind Carved Pair of Parlor Chairs:

Solid walnut with burl panels, this American made antique furniture is tight and strong, reglued to serve another generation. The finish is in excellent condition with typical irregularities in the burl, see photos.
Upholstery is new and seats are soft but supportive. Singer Jenny Lind, known as the \"Swedish Nightingale,\" was a sensation, and her famous face adorns the cameos and three dimensional carved arms.
Jeliff (1813-1893) worked in Newark, NJ, and was one of the great designers and makers of his day.
Chairs are 27\" wide, 27\" deep, 40\" tall and seats are 17\" high.
