Unusual Pair of Victorian Silver Ships Candlesticks by Geo Betjemann & Sons London 1893
Very heavy pair of Candlesticks with removable sconces.
Possibly for a ships captain as they are so heavy they wont move and are perfect weights forlooking at maps. This is my theory anyway. Any other info on them would be welcome. Wonderful in a traditional or contemporary setting.
Fully hallmarked they also have \'Betjemanns Patent London\' on the base.
They are 6 cms tall and 5 cms in diameter and weigh a hefty (weighted) 860 grams!!!
In very good condition apart from normal signs of wear and tear. One sconce has a not sonoticeable crease, see photos for full details.
