Offeredat this sale is a used Eversharp fountain pen that is from the 1940’s, andit has a fine to medium, slightly flexible nib. A new bladder was installed ayear ago, and everything works. The pen has very minor scratching barelyvisible to the naked eye. The pen body and cap exhibit no cracks, dings or heavyscratches. Minor staining is on the bottom of the clip and the lever shows somescratching.
Eversharpset a very high standard for all its pens and this one might have taken the best-lookingArtDeco award for pens. A wonderful designer-Henry Dreyfuss-can be congratulatedfor designing this pen. Not so well known is that Eversharp made terrific nibs.This nib writes very well with some flexibility. Fortunately, I have other Skyline pens to satisfy writing needs.
Youare offerding on an excellent, functional collectible fountain pen from one ofthe best American makers. The Skyline is the epitome of the Art Deco movementin fountain pens. Take a look at the writing sample, and have pity on thewriter’s poor penmanship. Good luck on the sale.
