Up for sale is a very old 1905 souvenir book titled \"Picturesque Niagara\" by J. Howard Avil. It was purchased by a relative of mine back then. It\'s chock-full of black and white photos of summer and winter scenes. Many of those scenes can\'t be replicated today because parts of the Falls have collapsed since then, and winter sightseers are no longer allowed on the frozen river.
The book is in good shape for its age, with a decorative Art-Nouveau softcover that shows some light wear and creases and a bit of sticker residue. The 28 pages are mostly white with a small bend or chip here and there. The photos are clear and very interesting. All in all it\'s a very neat piece of Niagara Falls history and sure to please the collector.
