Hard to find covered opaque candy dish made by Beaumont Glass Company in the 1920\'s. The color is a white translucent similar to clambroth, called Fer Lux. The dish is footed with vertical panels around the bottom half. The lid has a \"spoke\" pattern around the center area with a smooth band around the perimeter. The smooth band has been colorfully decorated with a plaid pattern called decoration #682. There are matching green trims around the base of the handle, on the outside edge of the lid, around the center of the base and around the foot. The handle has embossed leaves which have been left undecorated.Dish measures approximately 6-1/2\" wide and 5-1/4\" tall.This dish is not absolutely perfect but it displays excellently. There are several things to note: there is a small chip on the top outside edge of the bowl; I have shown this from both the side and from the top when the lid is removed. It really isn\'t seen when the lid is in place. On the inside of the lid, on the inner lip where the lid sits on the bowl, there are a handful of tiny nips, found by feel. You can see how minor they are in one of the photos. Besides this, there are some very tiny and minor green paint wear specks, the two most noticeable are on the ring around the base but overall, the painted decoration is in amazing condition! Oh, I almost forgot, on the inside bottom of the bowl in the very center, there are rub marks into the glass which I really can\'t explain but I have photographed them. This would be a great display piece for your collection!I have another Beaumont Glass candy dish with a different decoration listed separately. Having the two dishes in front of me, there are differences in the \'feel\' of the glass. They were probably made during different years. This one has a ground edge around the inside top of the bowl and the inside lip of the lid is not quite as polished as the polka dot dish. Just differences in how the glass was finished.
