Vintage 1920s GRISWOLD Tite-Top #8 Cast Iron 4 Quart Dutch Oven with Self Basting Lid & Trivet

Offered in this listing is a handsome large size vintage cast iron #8 Dutch Oven with a fold-down bail handle for carrying. The bottom of the pot is marked with the large Griswold Logo, plus, CAST IRON,8, TITE-TOP DUTCH OVEN, ERIE, PA. USA, \"PAT\'D Mar. 16, 20\". The lid is marked with an incised \'GRISWOLD Logo, SELF BASTING, 12888\' and an embossed \'8\' on the underside of the lid. The iron trivet is not marked as a Griswold, but is only marked with an incised \'8,9,10\'.

This Dutch Oven has been cleaned and seasoned and is ready for use! There is absolutely no rust. It is a vintage item and as such, there is the patina gained from use over the years. Please check the photos closely and ask any questions before purchasing.

Measurements are 10-1/8\" pot diameter without the side tab (10-1/2\" lid diameter) x 4\" kettle depth. Weight for the set is about 10 pounds 5 ounces and the maximum capacity is 4 quarts. The condition is quite good as there are no cracks or repairs, but it does have some minor pitting as pictured. Also the top surface of the handles are a bit rough and it does have a slight wobble when placed on a flat surface.
