From an estate, this is a 1930\'s era Black Mammy Doll. The family stated it was bought on a visit to New Orleans at that time.
The doll is 14\'\' high, made of a dark sateen type fabric, and tightly stuffed. She has a wonderful oil painted face, black yarn hair tendrils, and black arms & feet.
The doll wears her original cotton print dress with white organdy apron and shawl. There is a red kerchief on her head, with a matching hanky in her pocket. She also wears gold metal hoop doll was always displayed in a glass case as part of a collection. She is clean, bright, and odor free. Outstanding look!
