Vintage 1939 \"Sanborns Souvenir\" was a promotional/advertising booklet for Sanborns of Mexico City and Monterrey. Founded in Mexico City in 1903 by two brothers who immigrated from California,Frank & Walter Sanborn. Their chain included a combination of department stores, restaurants, gift stores and pharmacies. Wonderful vintage B&W photos including Palace of Fine Arts, Chapultepec Castle, Xochimilco Floating Gardens, Cuernavaca, Taxco and San Juan Teotihuacan archaological ruins. The trademark of the franchise, the three owls, represent Frank Sanborn and his sons, Francis and Jonathan. Their slogan was \"Meet me at Sanborns!\" Booklet is made from very heavy stock paper and is 4.5\" x 6\" with 20 pages. Staples have detached from the covers, but all pages are here and very clear and legible. Nice vintage photos.
