Up for sales is this amazing 1940\'s brushed andhighly polished diamond striped gold tone Lite-O-Matic Elgin American CigaretteCase and Lighter.This beauty comes in its original red exterior and red velvetinterior case with hinges and pinkish melon colored pouch. No dents, dings,some wear on the outside of the case. It measures approximately 7 Inches acrossby by 4-3/4 Inches wide by 1-1/8 Inches thick.This spring hinged case opens with a push buttonclasp. The cigarette clip is also spring hinged. The interior is a gold tonecircular engine turned design. The cigarette clip is marked on the clip, “ElginAmerican – Made in USA”.The clip extends horizontally across the case andthe case would accommodate cigarettes up to about 3-1/4 Inches long. The clipextends both horizontally and vertically on each side. The exterior of thecigarette case measures 5 Inches by 3-1/4 Inches by 1/2 Inch thick.It has a very unusual way of working. You press abutton on the front edge and the case pops open, and when you close the case itautomatically lights the lighter. The back side of the case does have a sliderlocking mechanism for child safety, or for when you want to open the casewithout the lighter lighting.
