Vintage 1950\'s Electro Voice 726 Cardyne I dynamic microphone midcentury # 3:
$368.00

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a beautiful microphone from the 1950\'s made byElectro Voice. The monstorous726 Cardyne I mic was E.V\'s answer tothe very popular and extremely large Shure Brothers 55 Fatboy microphone. The 726 Cardyne I also utilized a dynamic element and was covered from head to toe in polished chromewithbold, deco lines that deserve attention.

This726 has been thoroughly tested and cleaned. The mic produces a strong usable signal so this would be ideal for any live event. The 726 is a cardioid uni-directional microphone meaning that it only picks up noise that is directly in front of it cancelling out other unwanted noises off to the side or behind it giving it ideal use for events where background noise can often be a problem.

The chrome body is in far above average condition and worthy of any nice vintage microphone collection. I try to get the closest shots possible but sometimes it makes the microphone look worse than when you actually see it in person. I\'d give it a conservative 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

The black screens in the front and rearare free of any rips or holes and has a nice dark even color. The joint mechanism offers plenty of firm resistance to keep this heavy microphone at just the right angle needed. This classic microphone is 100% complete. The threads for both the stand and cable are perfect. This 726 is absolutely free of any dents, fractures or breaks. The chrome has an incredible luster and shows typical small scuffs and scratches.

The chrome bodies do not polish out. Once a scratch or engraving is on the chrome...it\'s there forever. The chrome finish is very thin on a magnesium body. Too many sellers on claim that these mics will polish up with a little elbow grease...not true.

The mic has a typical offset 3 pin connector usually associated with early E.V microphones. You\'ll need an E.V offset 3 pin screw on cable to operate this microphone or simply buy an offset 3 pin connector and build your own custom cable.

This isone of the nicer 726 mics I have personally seen or offered on .

The ON / OFF switch slides smooth and works without issue.

I would highly suggest using a heavy cast iron desk or floor stand because of the weight of this microphone.

MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...for display and scaling purposes only.

As with all my vintage microphones...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that\'s fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and item relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
