Thissale is for the VINTAGE 4x5-INCH BLACK AND WHITE DOUBLEWEIGHT SILVER GELATIN PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT OF PHYSIQUE MODELS PETER GORDON AND PAUL LLOYD SHOT BY RENOWNED PHOTOGRAPHER SPARTAN OF HOLLYWOOD. This beautiful print likely was shot in the late 1940s but published and promoted throughout the 1950s, including publication in the Fall 1954 issue of AMG\'s Physique Pictorial, as shown in one of my scans. PLEASE NOTE that the AMG publication, the Spartan ad and catalog sheet shown in my scans are NOT included as part of this sale, but are shown merely for reference and authentication.

This rare vintage photograph is in EXCELLENT condition. Use my scans as your guide.

His career hit its stride during the late 1940s, when his elegantphotographs were frequently published in nearly all the physique, muscle andphysical culture magazines that proliferated during the late 1940s and the1950s. After the physique era wound down, Constantine wrote two cookbooks, Constantine Cooks the Greek Way (1962)and Moussaka, Baklava, and Love: Cookingthe Greek Way (1973). He also published a book of portraits entitled Contemporary Matadors of Mexico (1969).He died in 1982, and is interred near UCLA at Westwood Memorial Park, whereMarilyn Monroe, Truman Capote and Dean Martin are among the more famousresidents.PLEASE NOTE that while I very generously share what I learn about thephotographers and models of the physique era -- not only with seriouscollectors, but also with other dealers, galleries and museums in the U.S. andabroad -- I\'ve worked literally for YEARS piecing together the materialto build this biographical sketch.
