This is a wonderful, never worn dress from the 1950s. The label says the dress is a Claire Tiffany size 12. It is a luscious chocolate brown color with white polka dots. The fabric is a silky rayon. The dress still has the original orange thread, that would have had a maker or price tag attached, hanging from the sleeve though the tag is no longer present. The dress closes with 5 pearl buttons with loop shanks on the bodice and hidden buttons that run the length of the dress from waist to hem. It measures 15\" across the shoulders, 16 1/2\" neck to waist, 47\" length neck to hem, 26\" waist, 34\" bust, and the short sleeves are 11\" in length. The dress has a matching fabric belt and pearl buttons on the sleeves. The dress is in excellent condition though there is one 3/8\" spot on the back of the dress near the hem that appears to be ink and must have occurred during storage. The dress is free of any storage odor. I am listing several dresses and other items of clothing that came from the same estate. The owner moved from Michigan to Minnesota in the early 1960s and much of her household and personal items were put into storage where they remained until a few weeks ago. Several of her dresses and shirts dating from the 1940s to 60s still had the original price tags attached.
