Vintage 1950s Scissor Wall Lamp Mid Century Atomic Stilnovo Art Deco 60s Era For Sale
You are offerding
on an original1950s scissor lamp. The lampshade is made of aluminium
lacquered cream on the outside and white on the inside. The lampshade has a row
of decorative circular perforations. The lampshade is fixed to a short curved
chrome stem by a chrome butterfly screw. The stem itself is connected to a
metallic concertina stem by a similar
joint. There is a chrome wall bracket with two pre-drilled holes so that it can
be fixed to a wall. The lamp can swivel around this plaque.
The scissor lamp
is in very good /good conditionand infull working order. There are
some age related scratches, marks and small chips on the lampshade's inner and
outer lacquer work. The chrome work presents with age related scratches and
blemishes. However, these do not interfere in any way with the overall look of
the piece. The lamp takesoneEdison (screw fit) bulb.The lamp
has been fitted with a switch and electrical cord. It was originally intended to be hard wired into
the wall. You will still have this option. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it
checked by a qualified electrician.
