You are looking at a 1952 (Korean War era) AmericanM-2/U dynamic microphone made in Pasedana, California. This particular model did not come with the name badge often associated with the D4T\'s. This U.S Army model came with nothing more than an American red paint stamp on the side of the microphone. ThisM-2/U I believe was used for general broadcasting purposes while in the field and it\'s rugged design ensured a long life expectancy.Itwill do fine as a decent broadcasting mic but the sound has a High Z sound is either 50 OHMS or possibly 150? It could make an excellent harp mic as well.

As seen in the pictures provided this particular mic has a beautiful Olive Drab painted finish with a minimum of wear. it has obviously been used or encountered wear due to being moved around but this is an unusually fine specimen.

The microphone has been tested and sounds really clean with auber strongsignal and 100% original components. The joint mechanism holds strong and allows for a smooth rotation to any degree needed. Mic is solid with zero loose parts or rattling. Best part is...the original 16 foot cable with 1/4 inch connector is included and it\'s just as beautiful as the mic. No cracks or dry rot.

If you are a military buff or collector of vintage mics then you should know that this is a very special find and would be a great family heirloom to pass down many years from now. A great gift to give to a family memeber who served overseas many years back. Plug it in and do your thing.
