Artist Elizabeth Longfellow Dulmage 1903-1996

Elizabeth Longfellow was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of Dr. J. Clarence Longfellow and Florence Curl Longfellow. She studied art at the Pratt School of Art and Design in Brooklyn, New York. This is where met her husband Earl Wellington Dulmage. The couple had one son, Phillip Dulmage (1941-2015), a prominent Michigan Attorney and Proscecutor. This painting had been passed down to Phillip and I was able to purchase it on December 29, 2015 at the sale of his estate.
Elizabeth Longfellow Dulmage was an artist who was accepted into the prestigous Ann Arbor, Michigan Art Fair by a jury process. She lived in Michigan to be close to her son and spent her time painting and selling her art. You will notice that many of her paintings were inspired by her extensive travels.

This painting is in the original frame that was whitewashed along the inside edges.
The painting is signed by Elizabeth in Pencil.
