Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones for display, prop and functional use. I am offering this 1960\'s era Stromberg Carlson extending desk top microphone stand. This is a rare stand in that it has the Stromberg Carlson Name on it and not the style, as it was produced by The Atlas sound company and is their 763 desktop design. several companies of the era put their name on other companies stands and microphones. Even RCA did this with some Electro Voice and Turner microphones. Sorry if I crushed the purists, but fact. The stand is in above average condition and is fully functional with the clutch mechanism nice and tight for setting the height and all threading clear. All 3 rubber pads are in place on the bottom of the base and the Stromberg Carlson emblem is in great condition on the top of base. The base is 6 inches round. The main stem is 8 inches to the top of the clutch and with the extension stem the full height is near 13 inches with the standard 5/8 threading to mount American microphones and others.
