Wonderful Judaica figure crafted by artist ‘FrankMeisler’ (circa 1960s) of wood, fur, fabric and metal. Meisler’s early creationswere modern-looking and often humorous wooden figures that spoke to a new, morewhimsical visual sensibility.

This figure is of a man in traditional HasidicJewish dress including a black leather coat, waist sash and kolpik fur hat. He displaysthe traditional hair style of the culture and has a loving and friendly, yethumorous, expression on his face.

Marked on the bottom is Meisler\'s signature ‘MFIsrael’ stamp. The figure measures about 8” in height, 2” in width at the baseand 4” in width at the top (see photos).
