Vintage 19th century Russian Imperial Porcelain Dinner Plate - Grand Duke Sergei:

Here\'s a handsome and very rare late 19th century French porcelain Russian Imperial plate by Escalier de Cristal , part of a service commissioned by the Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich (1857-1905) and Grand Duchess Elisabeth (1864 -1918). Measuring 9 1/8\" across, the white porcelain plate features a heavy richly worked 3/4\" gilt border with the gilt cipher of the Grand Duke & Duchess beneath an Imperial crown. Cinnabar red Escalier de Cristal mark on the underside.

There is an in-the-making 1/2\" bruise on the inside food of the plate (not a chip...see photograph) but everything else is fine. I still would describe it as MINT Condition. Gold is bright, crisp and unworn.
