Up for sale is a lovely vintage 1950s genuine ranched mahogany mink fur coat. It is full length style and measures 42\" long down the middle of the back. It has rich brown colors with red undertones. The lining is brown silk and has a pretty embroidered design that has red tinsel thread worked in. There is the monogram MP on the inside, but the letters are patches and could probably be removed. The sleeves are a bell style with tighter cuffs. The cuffs have snaps inside that were used for gloves I believe. The front has three hook and eye clasps to hold it closed. The fur sheds just a little bit, but is still shiny and soft. It was folded a bit before the pictures, so the small rumples in the fur will smooth out more if stored properly. I would say it is about a women\'s medium size, but could be worn many ways and would probably fit someone a bit smaller or larger. I have it pictured with a belt that ties in back so you could see how it looks (I would sell the belt too if you really want it, but it is not as vintage). The coat is 42\" long as mentioned before, measures 20\" across the front from armpit to armpit when closed and laying flat, and the sleeves are about 23\" long. There are some imperfection from wear and age, but nothing too bad. On the inside lining there are some small snags (shown in last photo) and there is also an area along the bottom of the lining where the hem has come undone (second to last pic). I looked over the fur for splits and did not find anything. I would consider it to be in good condition. There is no label, but I was told that is was made in the 1940s-1950s in Massachusetts.
