Vintage Ornamental Cross bearing the \"925\" sterling silver hallmark on its necklace loop. Gently used condition, has spots of dark patina and superficial scratches. Structurally 100% sound and wearable. Appears to be of the European origin, possibly mid- to late 20 century.
The cross pendant is decorated with a floral or vine ornament. Its elements resemble ones of Celtic, or Basque, or Northern European (Viking or Runic symbols). The ends of the crossbars are budded, and bear vine-like ornaments. The centerpiece bears an ornament similar to the Basque cross (Lauburu), or broken Solar crosses.
